Andrew was able to fly out to visit Cambria and I in Lynchburg over a long weekend. He hopped on the red eye after work Friday night and got into town Saturday morning. We were both so excited!
His flight was a little bit delayed and had to attempt a landing more than once but he finally arrived. I don't know why, but Cambria covers her mouth with her hand when she says "Da-da-da-da-da" these days (and no more "Daddy"). I don't know where she comes up with these things.
After lunch and naps for all of us, we went to get ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery.
We also went over to PetSmart so that Cambria could look at all of the animals (our version of the "urban zoo.")
On Sunday, we went to Church and then Andrew grilled BBQ chicken for us for dinner.
Monday morning we went for a family walk and then Andrew came with Cambria and I for Rockabye Reader at the library. Andrew's professor, Dr. Elam, was there with Abraham who was born about two months before Cambria.
We had Family Home Evening together that night and then the next day we packed up for our flights out of town for the holiday weekend.
We were so happy to be together as a family but the time was too short for all of us! Only 3 1/2 more weeks until Andrew is done with his internship and will be home!
